Free, online, and open to every education level.
Participants who score above the mean/average for their respective education level in this round qualify for Semifinal. The mean is calculated separately for each education level.
Primarily onsite, across 8 Multicity host locations.
Participants who score above the mean/average for their respective education level in the Semifinal round qualify for Grand Final. The mean is calculated separately for each education level.
For Elementary (SD) and Junior High (SMP) participants, Semifinal offers two track options.
General Track
Walnut Track
Walnut is a technology ecosystem track within SATRIA — not a separate competition. Both tracks compete for the same Grand Final spot within their education level. Explore Walnut
General and Walnut apply only to SD and SMP. Senior High/Vocational (SMA/K) does not choose between General and Walnut — SMA/K competes in the C++ track.
The Semifinal is held onsite across 8 host cities in Indonesia.

Competitive Programming

Hackathon
150 Minutes
Two separate Grand Final competitions — never combined.
Competitive Programming and Hackathon are separate competitions with separate scoring and separate winners. Hackathon results never add to or change the Competitive Programming score.

An optional 150-minute Grand Final competition, separate from Competitive Programming.

Tool: VS Code
Vibe Coding Web Apps with HTML, CSS & JavaScript, using free AI tools, on a theme given during the Hackathon.
⏱ Duration: 150 minutes
✓ AI tools used must have free account/free access appropriate to the competition requirements
How Hackathon participants are chosen.
All participants who qualify for Grand Final may register/choose to join the Hackathon.
Priority is given to the Top 20 highest Semifinal scores, calculated separately for each education level — SD, SMP, and SMA/SMK — because each level uses a different program/competition context.
If a Top 20 participant does not join the Hackathon, the next-ranked participant can take the spot.
Example: if Rank 20 doesn't join the Hackathon, Rank 21 can take the available spot.
